You may be surprised to learn that cacao, the pod from which chocolate is made, is actually a fruit and even more surprised to learn that it is one of the most commonlyeaten healthy fruits.

Recent research studies have shown a link between cocoa and cardiovascular health, with reduced risk of blood clots, strokes and heart attacks.  Cocoa has the highest antioxidant value of all the natural foods in the world!

ORAC (Oxygen Radical Absorbance Capacity) scale was developed by the U.S. Dept. of Agriculture to measure the ability of antioxidants to absorb free radicals, which normally cause cell and tissue damage.  The higher the ORAC score, the higher the level of antioxidants present in the food.
